Our plans to stage the third ArtattheHouse event at Cliffe House in June have been temporarily derailed and had to be postponed due to crazy circumstances beyond anybodys’ control. The event will now take place on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19^th September.

Now, I’ve always believed in negatives being positives in disguise so here’s a couple of lists.

Downside –

It was a unique experience setting up shop in the fully blooming woods of Cliffe House in June

Us artists are skint. We need to show the world our lockdown creativity and offer the public the chance to BUY something different….

Upsides –

Cliffe House in September is a beautiful sight, leaves turning, colour everywhere. Art everywhere.

The vast majority of artists have reconfirmed their commitment to the event. We have time to build on that with more now being available. You can MEET them and discuss what they do.

We’re not mentioning the weather usually being better in September because we all know how unpredictable it can be at any time of the year but we will be well covered for all eventualities.

Cliffe House has been refurbished and will be looking magnificent and this is the first big event after the work has been completed so we have plenty to celebrate.

ArtattheHouse will stimulate all the senses with scripts being played out in the woods. Scissett Youth Band return to give us more spectacular performances and a piano will play amongst the trees amid the haunting tones of Mongolian Throat Chanting and performance poetry.

At the time of writing we have over 40 artists exhibiting a wide variety of media including Ceramics, Painting, Sculpture, Creative Textiles, Print-making, Drawing, Glass, Enamel & Copper and Jewellery to name but a few. Many of these will be offering workshops for you to TRY.
