Are We Nearly Home Yet?
Are We Nearly Home Yet? is a panel from the Home Series collection. This surreal concrete structure perched on Emley Moor like the remnant of some long since departed alien vessel gazes over its surroundings and inhabitants like some protective force. A million perspectives exist on The Mast’s significance to an existence. The Tower has seen comings and goings and has secrets only it can know. It is closer to the sky than the Eiffel Tower. It has a lift which takes seven minutes to reach the top. Recognised as a beacon for all who live around it telling us that Home is not too far away. Currently it has a friend to keep it company.
Handcrafted
All of our panels, diptychs , triptychs and pentaptychs are individual works of art, signed by the artist, Nigel Hoyle and one-offs. Please take a look at some of my other panels, diptychs and triptychs in my Home Series collection. They all feature a Screen Printed image over layered underglaze colours on the clay, thus achieving a more vivid finish. The panels are then fired to 1260C with a very light, almost transparent glaze to allow the colour and surface to dominate.
Delivery
Our preference is for you to visit the studio and pick up your purchase directly from us. However, we understand that not everyone is able to do this. Please see our delivery terms and conditions. If the panel is shown as in stock it means there is one available to be viewed and immediately purchased. These panels need specialist packing and shipping. Therefore if you would like to have it shipped please contact me to identify the cost and shipping method, prior to completing the purchase on-line. If no stock is shown, then please contact me to talk about what you would like and when I could make it for you.
