The new part of the workshop has underfloor heating fitted (though still needs to be connected to the house). The stone slate on the old shed was sold to fund the wood and slates for the new roof across both buildings.
The studio was almost finished in 2011 before we decided to spend 5 years in the desert. Each summer we did a bit more towards completion of the project.
By the time we returned in 2016, the main job was clearing out the space, equipping and making working space in the studio.
